Entertainment for All
JK Productions has become one of the foremost suppliers of fun park and leisure attractions over the past few years and is constantly acquiring bigger and better equipment to offer its ever growing number of clients. Most recently, the company has partnered with the Cape Town based Blackball Rentertainment to offer their Rent a Juke service and a whole range of unique entertainment equipment suited to the corporate market for any event whether large or small.
By partnering with Blackball, JK Productions has gained the opportunity to extend their market reach to the Western Cape. However, entertainment equipment is only part of the service that the company provides, as they frequently supply some or all of the technical staging for an event according to the requirements of the event organizer. Earlier this year, they supplied the entire staging set up for a three day event that took place at Summer Place in Sandhurst. The set up included a raised 300mm high stage with stage draping; lighting and trussing, two 9 x 12 screens with Sharp conference series projectors, as well as Kramer video switching. For the PA, they provided a JBL sound system and Shure lapel mics for the presenters, all controlled via a Soundcraft desk and recorded to CD, not forgetting the generator power to run the technical equipment.
Among the long list of other events the company has completed this year was the Investec Top 100 clients’ Family Day, which organized by the event company 24 Carrots; a Standard Bank road show, which was staged at the Wanderers Club in Gauteng, as well as the family entertainment at the Steinhof Race Day for the event company Circa. As Jeremy Kusner of JK pointed out, running a successful entertainment event can be quite labour intensive as demonstrated at a recent event his company completed. The main focus of the event was a horse race, but there were also three entertainment areas provided for the children, with rides, rock-climbing and an assortment of kiddies’ attractions. For these areas alone, there were seventy five crew and personnel on site to ensure that everything went smoothly and safely.
